Beyond her creations, Lim-Higgins played a crucial role in shaping the future of Philippine fashion education. In 1960, she co-founded Slim’s Fashion & Arts School with her sister, Purificacion Lim-Higgins. The institution became one of the country’s premier fashion academies, producing some of the most celebrated designers in the industry. Through her teachings, she instilled a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, innovation, and artistic expression, ensuring that Filipino designers could compete on the global stage.
